Building a National Network
U.S. Multimodal Group was born from a vision to unite best-in-class logistics operators under one banner. Starting in 2020 with strategic acquisitions on the West Coast and Midwest, we have grown into a coast-to-coast transportation powerhouse.
Each company we brought into the USMMG family added unique strengths — regional expertise, specialized capabilities, and dedicated teams. Together, they form a network greater than the sum of its parts.
Today, USMMG operates through two go-to-market brands: Alliance Shippers for domestic 3PL services and Port X Logistics for asset-based drayage, transloading, and trucking. Together, we deliver orchestrated motion across North America.
Our Growth Journey
Foundation
Privately held and founded in 2020, we set out with a clear vision. Initial asset-based acquisitions in West Coast drayage and Midwest drayage.
Expansion
Added additional West Coast drayage operations and Midsouth drayage to broaden geographic reach.
Major Growth
Acquired Alliance Shippers, Inc. — a domestic intermodal 3PL leader. Expanded drayage operations with two Midwest locations and a second Midsouth location the same year.
National Reach
Acquired Port X Logistics (Northeast, expedited container cargo), Southern drayage expansion with additional Midwest locations to complete coast-to-coast coverage.
Our Final Chapter
United for the Future – The USMMG Advantage. USMMG is integrating our brands to feature go-to-market sub-brands Alliance Shippers (Domestic 3PL) and Port X Logistics (Asset-Based Drayage, Transload & Trucking), enhancing specialized services while maintaining unified strength and innovation.
